Shout Out To Jav

Haven't seen this cat for quite sometime. Javier Trejo was one of the finest and most fun musicians I had ever had the privilege of jamming with on many significant occasions in the '90s. I think the most memorable one for me, aside from the Harmony Park and Wisconsin (on my motorcycle) shows, was when Tiny Tim decided to come up on stage with us at The Terminal Bar in Nordeast and play Tiptoe Through the Tulips with us, complete with his uke. And yes, Tiny Tim graciously signed my chest that night.

You Be Me For A While And I'll Be You

Apparently I play a pretty good Paul Westerberg as a client in my Counseling Theories and Techniques class. Wonder what that says about me?

However, maybe I should play Tony Perkins the president of the Washington, D.C. based lobbying group Family Research Council. I don't think there is a psychotherapist in the world who can therapitize folks of this ilk though.

I know Carl Rogers wouldn't have done this, but I think the best thing to do is to just point and laugh, and mock them into oblivion with superior humor and intellect.

P.S. Don't worry Paul, I'm being kinder to your caricature than I'd care to admit!

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir will reunite at Chicago’s Soldier Field, nearly 20 years to the day of the last-ever Grateful Dead concert, which took place at the same venue. “Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead” will take place over three nights – July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2015 – and mark the original members’ last-ever performance together. The band will be joined by Trey Anastasio (Guitar), Jeff Chimenti (Keyboards) and Bruce Hornsby (Piano), and will perform two sets of music each night.

My favorite Dead song, and from the year I was born. Eyes Of The World: Winterland '74

You haven't lived until you've heard a 48 min. Dead tune!

Unlike many mental health concerns the "boat bug" never quite goes into full remission!

Before: The same Donzi 43ZR earlier in the day

During: The same poor Donzi 43ZR

After: The same Donzi 43ZR later in the day
